- Common Questions I get asked
Most Common Questions:
We found a couple of Inspectors with a lower service charge, why should I go with you? Great question, with any business quality, service and experience is expensive. The lower priced provider cannot purchase new equipment, insurance, spend considerable time on the property or invest in training and education. Missing one item will cost more than the value of a small savings.
How did you learn about Home Inspection? I have owned, rented, purchased and sold dozens of properties. I worked for a large "box" store, and sold decks, windows, HVAC, roofs and fences. I managed a flooring operation for a National Company. My father was an electrical professional and he taught me about electrical. In addition to, all the requirements and training that Home Inspector most follow.
Should we get a radon test ? Yes. Kentucky has a very high frequency of Radon and the number two causes of lung cancer. No one wants a health care problem. This situation can be prevented with a low-cost test.

What We Offer
Buyer's Inspection
We inspect the heating, air conditioning, plumbing, electrical system, roof and foundation, along with twenty-three different components. Most buyers elect to have radon and termite inspections.
Sellers Inspections
The objective of this type of inspection is to find unknown defects in a home before it's listed for sale and make necessary repairs and to prevent problems once the home is in escrow.
Radon Inspection
Radon is the second largest cause of lung cancer and Kentucky has the nation’s sixth highest rate of Radon. For this reason, we always recommend a radon test be part of every home inspection for buyers.
Termite Inspection
The goal of this inspection is to examine the home and structure for evidence of wood destroying termites. Termite damage can be very expensive and should be part of every home buyer's inspection checklist.
Section 8 Inspection
Investors retain us to inspect properties prior to inspections conducted by Section 8. Ensuring they will pass the rigorous standard that is required.
Insurance Inspections
This includes evaluating maintenance of the property and occupancy status of the home. Gold Home Inspection works with insurance companies and third-party companies on these requirements.
